India vs England Highlights 2nd T20I, 2021: IND Defeat ENG By 7 Wickets

India complete the chase with ease as they defeated England by seven wickets at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on March 14, 2021 (Sunday). With this win, India have leveled the 5-match T20I series 1-1. Ishan Kishan and Virat Kohli both scored half-centuries for the hosts. 

Fifty! Virat Kohli smashes his 26th half-century. The Indian skipper hits a brilliant six to bring up the figure in some style. India are on the verge of victory and need less than run a ball. 

Wicket! Rishabh Pant's sensational cameo has come to an end. The Indian wicket-keeper was outstanding during his stay at the crease laying some brilliant shots and taking the game away from England. Pant c Bairstow b Jordan 26(13).

India are moving on at a great pace in the game with both Virat Kohli and Ishan Kishan scoring at a brilliant rate. England need to get wickets quickly if they want to have a chance of getting back into the match. 

End of Powerplay! Ishan Kishan has been brilliant on his debut for the national team with his fearless approach. Virat Kohli has supported the debutant well from the other hand while also scoring at a fantastic rate. Both will be looking to build further on this partnership.

India have done well in the death overs to restrict England to a par score. The visitors will still be happy with their efforts on a slower pitch. Jason Roy again missed out on a half-century. Meanwhile, Shardul Thakur and Washington Sundar were the pick of the Indian bowlers with a couple of wickets each.

CAUGHT! Washington Sundar has once again proved clutch for India as the spinner gets rid of the dangerous Jason Roy. The Englishman was looking to clear the field but could only find the safe hands of Bhuvneshwar Kumar. Roy c Bhuvneshwar b Washington Sundar 46(35).

England have managed to pick up the run-rate in the past few overs despite losing the wicket of Dawid Malan. The visitors are in a good position at the half-way mark in the innings and have build a great foundation for the power hitters to do the damage in the closing stages. 

LBW! Yuzvendra Chahal makes the breakthrough for India as he traps Dawid Malan in front of the stumps. India make good use of the DRS as after initially given not-out, they have managed to overturn the decision and break the 62-run partnership. 

Dawid Malan and Jason Roy are looking to up the tempo after the powerplay. Both batsmen have started to found the boundary rope more often now and will be aiming to continue this. 

End of Powerplay! England have taken a cautious approach to the game after losing an early wicket. Both Dawid Malan and Jason Roy have had few close calls but despite that have managed to keep the scoreboard ticking. Indians have bowled well until now have had very few rewards for their efforts.

Jason Roy is looking aggressive of the two and is trying to take the attack to the Indian bowlers early on. Dawid Malan has made a slow start and will be aiming to get on track as soon as possible. 

Jason Roy and Dawid Malan will look to form a decent partnership after losing Jos Buttler early. Both have made an aggressive start but will need to play cautiously and keep their wickets.
