Shattering records should be another name for the Indian cricket captain Virat Kohli. Having scored 440 runs in three matches so far, Virat Kohli can undoubtedly be labelled as the most reliable batsman in the team. Having played 342 matches in all the formats, Kohli just needs 125 runs to achieve the feat of 18000 runs. If Kohli manages to get 125 runs, he will join the elite club of 18000 run getters and will be the fourth Indian batsman to achieve the milestone. Prior to this, only Sachin Tendulkar (34357 runs), Rahul Dravid (34357 runs) and Sourav Ganguly (18575 runs) have achieved the feat for India. He will be the 15 batsmen to achieve the feat. If Virat Kohli gets a century in the fourth test match, it would be his 24th hundred in the longer format of the game. With this, he will surpass the records of Virender Sehwag and Steve Smith who have scored 23 centuries so far in Test cricket.

Thirdly, Virat Kohli is just 6 runs away from getting to the milestone of being the second fastest batsman to score 6000 runs. The Indian captain will break the record of Sachin Tendulkar who completed 6000 runs in 120 innings.
