India will play against England in the second One Day International (ODI) in their five-match series on Saturday, i.e. July 14. The India vs England 2nd ODI match will be played at the iconic Lord’s Stadium, in London. After registering a thumping victory in the game, courtesy match-winning performances from Kuldeep Yadav and Rohit Sharma, the Indian team would be riding high on confidence going into the second ODI.

In the first ODI match at Trent Bridge, in Nottingham, it was Kuldeep Yadav’s maiden five-for that helped India put brakes on England’s scoring rate. Yadav ended with match figures of 10-0-25-6 and was rightfully awarded the ‘Player of the Match’ award. In the second innings, it was Rohit Sharma’s blistering century (137* of 114 balls) that saw India win the match, convincingly, by eight wickets.

For England, everything seemed fine until the Indian spin duo of Kuldeep and Yuzvendra Chahal came on. After that, it was a mini-collapse before Ben Stokes, and Jos Buttler toiled hard and was involved in a face-saving partnership. Their partnership saw the English team reach a respectable (but sub-par) total of 268 in their 50 overs. The bowling performances weren’t up to the mark as India reached to the target with ten overs to spare.

India would be looking forward to carrying their form into the second match, whereas the England team would want to see their players improvise a lot. Come Saturday, both the sides would be looking to secure a win in the match, as it will decide the future course of the series. Stay tuned with us for all the latest updates about India vs England 2nd ODI match to be played at Lord’s stadium.
