The Day 1 turned out to be an amazing one for the Indians. All thanks to a fair start given by Shikhar Dhawan and KL Rahul. Then the captain and the vice-captain i.e. Virat Kohli and Ajinkya Rahane’s 169 run partnership that solidified India’s position after the departure of Chesteshwar Pujara. Rishabh Pant opened his account with a six in the second ball of his innings. So overall a good day for Indians as they are on 307/6.
We are at the Day 2 and the covers have come off just a while ago. So there has been a 15-minute delay in the start of the play. Talking about the pitch, it has been damaged a bit by the England bowlers as they have overstepped on the areas they have shouldn’t have stepped on. So in short, the pitch will offer an uneven bounce. A total of 350 runs would be great considering the fact Rishabh Pant is still batting. Meanwhile, check out the video highlights of the Day 1 here.
