Uh-oh. The rain has unstopped. Just ‘drizzle’, we are told, but as long as it’s raining the covers cannot come off and no inspection can be held. #ENGvIND— Guerilla Cricket (@guerillacricket) August 9, 2018
Meanwhile, here's a video of funny incident that took place during the opening match of CPL 2018
Update 8:25 PM IST: Amidst all the drama, tea break has been taken. So, that means second session of the day is wasted as well. Possibility of first day being washed out looks a reality now, hope not!
Update 7:55 PM IST: Weather has improved somewhat, though there's still some rain in the air at Lord's. Groundstaff are out in the middle, working hard. Hopefully, the rain will clear soon and we can have some play.

Update 6:05 PM IST: The wait continues as it is still raining at Lord's. The toss continues to be delayed as we move into the 'virtual' second session.
India is all set to play the second test match against England at the Lord’s in less than a couple of hours. The guests will be looking forward to winning this match to equate the five-match series with England after losing the last match by 31 runs at the Edgbaston Cricket ground. However, the match could have a delayed start due to rains since morning at the Lord’s. The official account of the BCCI shared the update about the same on their social media handles.
The pitch was still covered and the grey clouds hovered over the Lord’s Stadium.“It's been a rainy morning here in London and looks like we'll have to play the waiting game for a bit. Stay tuned for further updates. #ENGvIND,” read the tweet by the BCCI.

Ahead of the second test match, Ishant Sharma in an interview said that he wanted to win matches for the country. He also spoke about the current mood of the Indian dressing room and said, “Our bowling unit is a good one now, and there is a healthy competition amongst the bowlers. We know that if the performance is not up to the mark, we will have to sit out of the team.”
Ahead of the second Test match, Virat Kohli addressed the press and said, “That as I team we are just that. It’s not that we are getting rolled over or dominated. Any test match you play is competitive and people overlook that fact very easily. But when the result comes out, they will realise that this team is very competitive.” You can check the live scorecard of Ind vs Eng here.
