That's It! KL Rahul finishes things off in style. India end the chase in the 47th over. It seemed like things were comfortable in the end but for a long time in the middle overs, it looked an uphill task. The pitch got slower and it was Bangladesh's poor fielding paired up with the small target on the board, which helped India. They will have to be careful if they lose the toss in the next game. Shubman Gill has been phenomenal and India starts their campaign comfortably with a victory. 

Hundred! Shubman Gill is back to his best. Started his innings positively and never allowed the control to drift away from his hands. Punched up big shots with his strike rotation and comfortably played a main role in the chase. He also brought up his century in just 125 deliveries. This is his 8th ODI century. 

After a phase of struggle, India have negotiated the situation well with KL Rahul and Shubman Gill out on the crease. KL Rahul gave an opportunity early in the innings but Jaker Ali dropped it. The duo didn't look back after that. Accumulated singles and doubles with occasional boundaries. Things are well in control for India now. 

Out! The chase is getting tougher for India now. They will be relying on Shubman Gill on one end to take them over the finishing line. This time it was floater Axar Patel who got dismissed by Rishad Hossain. It was a google which Axar didn't pick and he went for the big shot, the ball skied and the bowler himself settled under it for the catch. Axar c and b Rishad Hossain 8(12).

Out! Big wicket for Bangladesh and they will still hope. Shreyas Iyer falls while trying to go for consecutive boundaries. Tries to hit one over mid off but Mustafizur Rahman uses the change of pace well which grips. The miscued shot lands comfortably in the hands of mid off fielder. Fifty! Shubman Gill is playing a crucial knock for India here. He has controlled the innings so far and is looking determined to bat till the end for his team and take them over the winning line. He brings up his half-century but he knows that the pitch is slowing down and he will have to be around for India to be comfortable in the chase. 

Out! After a short phase of struggle, Virat Kohli departs. He was not in rhythm against spin and the pitch was slowing down too. Tries to cut one from the backfoot but ends up playing straight to the hands of point. Kohli c Soumya Sarkar b Rishad Hossain 22(38).

India's scoring rate has slowed down to some extent after Rohit Sharma's dismissal and after spinners were introduced. Shubman Gill has been the aggressor while Virat Kohli is taking his time and providing him with support. India are well ahead here and it is Bangladesh who will need to force things. 

Out! Rohit Sharma tries to continue his aggressive strokeplay  in the powerplay and falls to Taskin Ahmed. Charges at the bowler once again, miscues the shot and Rishad Hossain settles under it to take a very good catch. Bangladesh finally get their first wicket, but it might be too late. A solid start from India. They were a little passive and cautious in the first three overs, but then Rohit Sharma started to charge and Shubman Gill was already in good form. Some runs have come quickly in favour of India and now Bangladesh is clearly under a lot of pressure. 

India don't have a steep target infront of them and that is why Bangladesh will have to pick quick wickets upfront if they want to put some pressure on them. Shubman Gill started the innings aggressively with a few boundaries as Rohit Sharma seemed cautious. 

Out! And the innings comes to an end for Bangladesh. Definitely they got more than what they would have imagined at 35/5 but Hridoy will think he missed out some towards the backend due to the cramp and the movement restriction. Competitive for Bangladesh given the position they were in but still not enough challenging for India. Mohammed Shami scalped a fifer while Harshit Rana picked three. This time he picks up five-wickets on comeback and the fifth wicket came in the form of Taskin Ahmed who struck him straight in the hands of deep mid-wicket. Hundred! Top knock from Towhid Hridoy and that is his maiden ODI century. Came in at a situation when Bangladesh were 35/5, got a life when Hardik Pandya dropped his catch but then he never looked back. Got to his century despite struggling hard with cramps and being in pain. He will look to capitalise in the final few deliveries. 

Out! Mohammed Shami gets another wicket, this time with a slower one. Changes up the pace and the ball sticks enough into the wicket. Tanzim Sakib goes to play the cut and drags the ball back to stumps. Towhid Hridoy on the other end is struggling with cramps and is down, receiving treatment. Tanzim Hasan Sakib b Shami 0(4).

Out! Rishad Hossain is dismissed after playing a short cameo. Harshit Rana joined the attack and banged one into the wicket. Rishad looked to ramp it over the third man but didn't get enough pace and only lobbed it to the ends of Hardik Pandya at short third man. Rishad Hossain c Hardik Pandya b Harshit Rana 18(12) .

Out! Finally after a big partnership of 154 runs, Jaker Ali falls. It was time to look for some acceleration and Jaker Ali went for the slog sweep against Mohammed Shami, only to get the toe end of the bat on the ball. The ball looped high and Virat Kohli settled under it to take a good catch. Good fight from Jaker from a tough position. Jaker Ali c Kohli b Shami 68(114).

After the initial disaster in the powerplay, Bangladesh have steadied themselves with Jaker Ali and Towhid Hridoy stitching a steady partnership. They have been able to handle Ravindra Jadeja and Kuldeep Yadav so far and have looked to preserve their wicket. They will need to go to charge soon, if they want at least 230-240 on board. Amid this, Towhid Hridoy brings up his half-century and also brings up the 100-run partnership. 

From a very poor position, Jaker Ali and Towhid Hridoy stitched up a steady partnership and provided Bangladesh some platform to consider starting to attack now. Although both Hridoy and Jaker will look to take the game further deeper and then look to attack. Amid this, Jaker Ali completed his half-century. 

After a forgettable powerplay, Jaker Ali and Towhid Hridoy have temporarily calmed things down for Bangladesh. Jaker Ali got life when Rohit Sharma dropped his catch. Hridoy got one too when his shot over mid off was dropped by Hardik Pandya. Despite getting two lives, Hridoy and Jaker has continued accumulating runs and are looking to take the game as deep as possible.
