The Indian team has registered a 280-run victory over Bangladesh in the IND vs BAN 1st Test match. It was a combined effort from the Indian team as Ravichandran Ashwin shone with the ball with a six-fer in the second innings and a hundred in the first innings played a major role in helping the Indian team take a 1-0 lead. Rishabh Pant and Shubman Gill also ended up with hundreds and it was a brilliant effort from the hosts.

After securing a massive lead of 227 runs in the first Innings, India continued to build on it through the centuries from Shubman Gill () and Rishabh Pant. On Day 3, the best chance Bangladesh had was to dismiss Indian batters as early as possible. But they couldn't do it and almost received a knockout punch from the Indian batters. Chasing 515. they had a steady start through Zakir Hasan and Shadman Islam but Mominul Haque and Mushfiqur Rahim's poor batting performance mean their batting tumbled hard. Riding on the half-century from captain Najmul Hossain Shanto, Bangladesh ended the day on 158/4 with Shakib Al Hasan and Shanto on the crease. They are still trailing by 357 runs.

On Day 4, India will go hard for the win straightaway. Jasprit Bumrah and Ravichandran Ashwin has been probing for the entire Test match and in the second innings too. Added with them, Akash Deep can also be effective using the conditions of the morning.
