There is no doubt that BCCI and Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) have tried their best to make India vs Bangladesh Day-Night Test a memorable event. Now, there are reports that BCCI and CAB will felicitate the players of both the teams who played first-ever India vs Bangladesh Test in 2000. The two associations have issued a letter of invitation for the same to all the players who were part of the Test match, which was played at Bangabandhu National Stadium in Dhaka from November 10 to 13 in 2000.

In the letter, it is mentioned that BCCI and CAB will felicitate the players at Eden Gardens stadium in Kolkata. Travelling and accommodation have also been offered to all the players. Bangladesh had hosted India in their inaugural Test match in Dhaka. The one-off Test saw India winning the match by nine wickets. The Bangladesh squad included Habibul Bashar, Khaled Mashud, Naimur Rahman. Shahriar Hossain, Mehrab Hossain, Al Sahariar, Ranjan Das, Mohammad Rafique, Aminul Islam, Akram Khan and Hasibul Hossain. The Indian cricketers who played in the match were Sachin Tendulkar, Rahul Dravid, Sourav Ganguly, Zaheer Khan, Ajit Agarkar, Murali Kartik, Sunil Joshi, Javagal Srinath, Saba Karim (wk), Sadagoppan Ramesh and Shiv Sunder Das. India Vs Bangladesh, Cricket Score 2nd Test Match. 

Bangladesh had won the toss and opted to bat first. The Bangladesh team showed a great effort in the first innings with 400-10 on the scoreboard. Aminul Islam (145) and Habibul Bashar (71) were leading run-scorers for the Bengal side. India replied with 429-10 with 84 and 92 knocks by Sourav Ganguly and Sunil Joshi respectively. In the second innings, Bangladesh were bowled out for just 91 with India reaching the 64-run-target easily.

Talking about the India vs Bangladesh 2nd Test match at Eden Gardens, the match will see India playing with the pink ball for the first time. The match will commence at 1 pm IST. Virat Kohli and Mominul Haque will be leading their respective sides. This is the second Test of the two-match Test series. India won the first match by an innings and 130 runs, and lead the series 1-0.
