Shakib Al Hasan has been ruled out of Asia Cup 2018, and the Bangladesh fans will not be happy to hear about it. The injury, as per the BCB’s cricket operations chairman Akram Khan, had aggravated badly and the pain was paramount, which saw him sit out of the game against Pakistan too. Shakib Al Hasan is said to be out of the team for four to six weeks while he recovers from the injury. The all-rounder was sent home after the inflammation of the finger, and the pain had increased considerably. Shakib Al Hasan had injured his hand during the final match of a tri-series held in Bangladesh, earlier this year. Since then Bangladesh has played Nidahas Trophy, a T20 series against Afghanistan, and a full-fledged tour of West Indies. Shakib has featured in all of those matches, wherein he played with the injury. Shakib’s plan of surgery was thwarted by BCB President Nazmul Hassan, as he had requested the all-rounder to postpone his surgery for after Asia Cup 2018. However, aggravation of injury before the clash against Pakistan was disheartening for Bangladesh. Not only is that, but his absence in the tournament final what will hurt them more!
