A Change in Middle-Order?

India’s T20I squad against Bangladesh consists of other good middle-order batsmen like Manish Pandey and Sanju Samson. Shardul Thakur Instead of Khaleel Ahmed?

Khaleel Ahmed was the leading pacer in the 1st T20I match, however, he totally failed to give his best. Ahmed gave 37 runs in his four overs and got one wicket. He was hit for four consecutive boundaries in the penultimate over, in which Bangladesh took the match totally out of India’s hands. Shivam Dube in or out?

Shivam Dube made his international debut for India in the 1st T20I against Bangladesh. However, the left-handed batsman could not bag limelight in his first match. He was dismissed through a loose shot he played on Afif Hossain’s delivery, who caught and bowled him for just 1 run. If Dube is dropped, Team India can strengthen their middle-order by adding one more batsman in the slot.

Krunal Pandya or Rahul Chahar?

Krunal Pandya remained wicket-less in the four overs he bowled in the 1st T20I. He gave away 32 runs and dropped a crucial catch of Mushfiqur Rahim which could have turned the result of the match. Since he was not brilliant with the ball, Rahul Chahar can be substituted in the playing 11 on his behalf. Chahar showed great performance during India’s tour of West Indies 2019.
