After a thrilling conclusion to the T20I series which India won 2-1, India and Bangladesh will once again lock horns with each other in Ganguly-Durjoy Trophy which is a three-match Test Series. The first match is set to be played at Holkar Stadium in Indore on November 14, 2019 (Thursday). India are on a great run of results in the longest format as they have white-washed both South Africa and West Indies in their last two test series. Bangladesh, on the other hand, have lost all the three tests played in 2019 including a one-off test against Afghanistan. Rohit Sharma and Mayank Agarwal will once again look to dominate when they step on to the crease and will be the main threat for the Bangla Tigers. Ravindra Jadeja vs Mushfiqur Rahim

Mushfiqur is one of the most experienced players in the Bangladesh camp and has been the backbone of their batting for many many years. He will need to be at his best for the visitors if they want to post a big score. Jadeja became the number one all-rounder in the world after his performances against the Proteas and will fancy his chances against the Bangla opener.

Rohit Sharma vs Mustafizur Rahman

Rohit Sharma has established himself as a test opener by the end of the South Africa series. He scored two centuries and a double century against the Proteas and will be looking to continue this form against Bangladesh. Mustafizur Rahman will have the responsibility of dismissing his Mumbai Indians compatriot as soon as possible.

Mayank Agarwal vs Taijul Islam

Mayank Agarwal has cemented his place in the Indian team after his performances against the Proteas. The batsman scored a double century in the first match and the followed it up with a century on the second. Taijul Islam will be in charge of restricting the Indian opener and stop him from scoring.

 

India have won 11 successive test series at home and will start as favourites to win this match. The visitors do not have a good record against India in tests as they are yet to win a match. New captain Mominul Haque and his team will have their hand full when they travel to Indore and will be looking to change this trend of losses against India.
