Weather has been the focus in recent times, especially in the case of India, whose ODI series against New Zealand prior to their Bangladesh tour, got badly affected by the downpour. Out of a total of three matches, the 1st ODI was the only one in which a result was possible with the other two games were marred by rain. Now, India are set to take on Bangladesh in the first of a three-match ODI series, that would be played at the Sher-e-Bangla Stadium in Dhaka. Ahead of the match, let us take a look at how the weather might behave for this match. India vs Bangladesh 1st ODI 2022 Preview: Likely Playing XIs, Key Players, H2H and Other Things You Need to Know About IND vs BAN Cricket Match in Dhaka

India would have their veterans in the form of Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul returning to the squad, which would give it stability and batting power. On the bowling front, Mohammed Shami getting ruled out is a huge blow to the side but it does open up the gates of opportunity for someone like Umran Malik, who will only get better with more experience. Bangladesh too have an injury setback in the form of skipper Tamim Iqbal being ruled out, with Litton Das named as the stand-in captain instead. Das would also miss the services of his premier pacer Taskin Ahmed in the 1st ODI. Rohit Sharma, Litton Das Unveil ODI Series Trophy Ahead of India vs Bangladesh 1st ODI 2022 (See Pics)

Sher-E-Bangla National Cricket Stadium Pitch Report

The pitch at the stadium is likely to be of assistance to the batting team. The ball is likely to come onto the bat and batters will aim to make the most of the gaps during the field restrictions. However, spin bowlers are likely to get some purchase from this surface as the game progresses. Expect a good contest between bat and ball here.
