AUS-W Win By Nine Runs | India vs Australia Highlights of ICC Women's T20 World Cup 2024: Women in Blue Suffer Big Blow in Semifinal Race, Aussies Confirm Last Four

India lose to Australia by nine runs! This defeat has seriously put India's T20 World Cup 2024 semifinal hopes in danger. Harmanpreet Kaur's knock was in vain and it has been tough for the Women in Blue with Australia doing really well with the ball as well on the field. Annabel Sutherland was superb in the last over. Australia make it to their ninth semifinal and also keep a 100% win record in the group stage. Harmanpreet Kaur said that the batters failed to make the most of the loose deliveries and may the team which plays well enter the semis. A big wicket for Australia as they get Deepti Sharma! The left-hander looked good in the past few balls and her departure is a massive setback for India. Four overs remain and India need to score 41 runs! This is becoming a tense chase with India needing to win to give themselves the best chance of securing a spot in the last four. India are under a lot of pressure, now needing to score 62 runs off the next six overs. Will Harmanpreet Kaur and her team be able to pull this off? India need to win this match to stay alive in the semifinal race. A loss might signal the end of India's campaign! 

The pressure is mounting on India with Deepti Sharma and Harmanpreet Kaur needing to score quickly now. Meanwhile, Australia have qualified for the ICC Women's T20 World Cup 2024 semifinals. Now, it will be between India and New Zealand, which will determine the second entrant from Group A. 

Harmanpreet Kaur and Deepti Sharma are out in the middle and at the halfway mark, India are 67/3. Harmanpreet Kaur and her team still need  85 runs off 60 balls and with the bowlers tightening the screws, this is only going to get tougher for the Women in Blue.

OUT! Sophie Molineux has struck with her first ball, dismissing Smriti Mandhana! The left-hander was caught on the back foot and was trapped right in front of the stumps with a DRS confirming that it was three reds. Mandhana missed the pull shot and has to walk back. OUT! Shafali Verma has been dismissed and Australia have struck right back. Ashleigh Gardner bowled to her field and Shafali Verma, going for another big shot. finds her Delhi Capitals teammate Annabel Sutherland in the deep. Shafali Verma is on fire here as she is taking the attack to Australia. A four and a six off Megan Schutt's over helps India get to 25 runs in three overs. This is a good start her for India. 

Shafali Verma and Smriti Mandhana have had a positive start to this innings, scoring five runs off the first over bowled by Megan Schutt. India have shown intent that they are willing to maximise the restrictions and this wil be interesting to see how they fare against the Australian bowlers. 

Phoebe Litchfield has struck a six off the last ball and Australia have crossed the 150-run mark! Australia have finished with 151/8 and that means, India have to chase 152 to win this match and remain alive in the hunt to make it to the semifinals.
