End of the 'balanced' second session. Australia took some wickets in the middle after Jaiswal's departure, but India regained control with Washington Sundar providing perfect support to Virat Kohli. Lead reaches 405, and Jasprit Bumrah might think of inviting Aussies late in the third session.

With some glorious shots and attacking batting performance in the second innings, India now has a 400-run lead in the match. Despite losing some quick wickets in the middle, India fought back courtesyof Virat Kohli and Washington sundar. 

Indian side lost a couple of wickets in quick succession but then Virat Kohli took matters in hand and smashed some powerful shots to disrupt the Aussie bowling rhythm. Check out this six by Virat.

The India national cricket team has been a dominating force from day 2 and now has a strong 305+ lead in the first Test. Yashasvi Jaiswal is at the centre of the massive second innings batting performance while KL Rahul also delivered forming a strong partnership and base with Jaiswal for the big total. 

150 up for Yashasvi Jaiswal! After early departure in the first innings, Yashasvi Jaiswal delivered in the second innings. The left-handed batter played some beautiful shots to complete his 150. Indian batters are putting up a show at the moment.

LUNCH! India have commanded Australia in the first session of play on Day 3, with Yashasvi Jaiswal ruling the roost. Jaiswal and KL Rahul added 201 runs between each other, which was cut short by the latter's dismissal. However, Jaiswal after reaching his century, has picked up the scoring rate and contributed 39 runs in a partnership of 74* plus with Devdutt Padikkal. 

After crossing his 100, Yashasvi Jaiswal started to play aggressive cricket, with Australia calling upon both spinners Nathan Lyon and Marnus Labuschagne to bowl. Devdutt Padikkall will need to make good use of this chance as the batter is known to be an exceptional player of spin bowling. 

After the wicket of KL Rahul, Australian bowlers have found some spark back in the bowling, and have managed to induce false shorts from the well-set Yashasvi Jaiswal, who narrowly escaped getting out against Mitchell Starc. Devdutt Padikkal will want to display his calibre this time around after failing in the first innings. 

OUT! KL Rahul's stellar knock comes to an end. Mitchell Starc gets Rahul with a peach of a delivery, that took the outside edge of the batter and went straight into the keeper's gloves. 100! Yashasvi Jaiswal does it in style and gets to his maiden Test hundred in Australia with a six. Jaiswal took on Josh Hazlewood, and played the ramp-shot for perfection, to reach his landmark fourth Test century. 

India dominated Day 2 and will look to take advantage of the start Yashasvi Jaiswal and KL Rahul have provided, with the lead already stretching over 200. Australia, on the other hand, will want to make early inroads and prevent India's score from going over 300. Jaiswal and Rahul are both nearing personal milestones.
