India dominated the day 1 of the Boxing Day Test 2018 between India and Australia at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. The visitors won the toss and elected to bat first. The team went on to drop the opening pair KL Rahul and Murali Vijay after a series of failures. Coming to the match, India lost an early wicket in the form of Hanuma Vihari. The middle-order batsman was sent packing on the score of eight facing 66 balls.

Despite this, debutant Agarwal continued his domination and scored 76 runs in his debut match. After the departure of Agarwal, it was Virat Kohli and Cheteshwar Pujara who held the nerves and gave India the much-needed partnership.

Kohli is currently three runs short of getting his half-century and is batting on 47 runs.  Cheteshwar Pujara is currently on 68 after facing 200 balls. India is on 215 runs for the loss of a couple of wickets. Pat Cummins snapped both wickets. It would be interesting to watch the day two of the game.
