After losing the Test series 2-1, new look Australia did well to emerge victorious in the first ODI at Sydney. The Aaron Finch-led side defeated India by 34 runs to go one up in the series. Australian bowlers, especially Jhye Richardson and Jason Behrendorff, did well to defend a total of 289. The two fast bowlers struck early to make things tough for India.

Meanwhile, India will be looking to get back to the winning ways. While hosts are unlikely to make a change in their playing XI, India might bring in Kedar Jadhav, who doubles up as an effective part-time spinner, in place of Dinesh Karthik. India have also added all-rounder Vijay Shankar in the squad as Hardik Pandya’s replacement and it will be interesting to see whether he gets a game or not.
