After winning the ODI and the Test series Down Under, India is now hosting Australia. The first T20I game begins today at Vishakhapatnam. The team will look forward to having a winning start in the two-game T20I series. The matches for both sides are considered to be extremely crucial keeping in mind the 2019 ICC Cricket World Cup. The players will look forward to making it count in the series in India to board the bus for the mega-event scheduled to happen in May 2019.  Rohit Sharma Could Break This Record During India vs Australia, 1st T20I 2019.

With Hardik Pandya out injured, it will be a great opportunity for Shankar to strengthen his case while Pant will also look to make the most of the chances he gets. For Karthik, who is still in the mix, the two T20s will be his last chance to make a statement. Virat Kohli who had been rested in New Zealand will come back into the squad. KL Rahul who was dropped from the Australian and New Zealand series is also back into the team. Jasprit Bumrah is back after a break. Bumrah is two shy of his personal tally of 50 wickets in T20I cricket.  With this, India would be looking forward to getting the right combination.
