When it comes to records, MS Dhoni seems unstoppable. After becoming the second most capped player after Rahul Dravid, Dhoni went on to lead the Indian team for the 200th time in the ODI between India and Afghanistan at the Asia Cup 2018.

After becoming the second most capped player after Rahul Dravid, Dhoni went on to lead the Indian team for the 200th time in the ODI between India and Afghanistan at the Asia Cup 2018.  With this, Dhoni created one more record! The wicket-keeper batsman who is 37 years 80 days old, went on to become the oldest ODI captain in men’s cricket to lead the side. Former cricketer Mohammad Azharuddin is the second oldest captain to lead the side against New Zealand in June, 1999. He was 36 years and 124 days old. Sunil Gavaskar is the third oldest when he led India against Pakistan in March 1985. He was 35 years and 243 days old. Diana Edulji, former female Indian cricketer was the oldest to lead the side at the age of 37 years and 184 days. The official account of the ICC shared the record on their official Twitter account.

Talking about the Super Four match between India and Afghanistan, the game ended up with a thrilling tie. After winning the toss, Afghanistan elected to bat first and put up the score of 253 runs. India was bowled out on the score of 253 runs. India needed seven runs in the last over and Ravindra Jadeja brought a respite hitting a boundary as the team needed one off two balls.
