India Tour of England 2018: Head-To-Head ODI Record of India vs England Matches Played in England
The Indian team would be fancying their chances, this time, given the fact that the Indian squad looks comparatively stronger than the sides that toured England previously.
Team India is on a roll at the moment; however, sterner tests for them lie ahead. After registering series’ victories against Ireland and England, the Indian cricket team under the leadership of Virat Kohli is on a high. However, with five One-Day Internationals (ODIs) lined-up, and five Test matches scheduled to be played after the ODI series, India would be looking forward to securing wins in them too, given the form they are in, currently.
On the other hand, the England team might have faltered to a 2-1 defeat in the recently concluded Twenty20 series against India, their ODI side was on a roll against the visiting Australian side only a couple of weeks back, after they defeated them 5-0.
India is set to play a full-fledged ODI series and Test series, which will start on July 12, at Trent Bridge, in Nottingham. It will be an intriguing watch to see how the young-Indian team, under the captaincy of Virat Kohli, fares in English conditions. As India is set to take on England in less than 24 hours, we take a look at the last three ODI series India played in England.

India has had bitter-sweet outings in ODI matches in England in the last decade. The Indian players have struggled to adapt to foreign conditions over the years. However, this time around, the Indian team would be fancying their chances, given the fact that the Indian squad looks comparatively stronger than the sides that toured England previously. And with a victory in both the series concluded recently, the confidence-levels amongst the team members is sky-high.
Captain Virat Kohli would be facing selection dilemmas as all the players are in form, currently. It will tough for him to pick the first-choice XI players for the playing XI. However, with the presence of MS Dhoni in the line-up, the former Indian captain would be looking forward to setting things in order, when the chips are down!
