India have been on a roll in ICC Cricket World Cup 2023, winning three out of three matches played so far. The run began with a dominant victory over five-time winners Australia and an even convincing win followed against Afghanistan in the second match. However, Indian cricket fans would feel that the win over Pakistan was the best of the three so far as it was a clinical performance in all departments of the game that saw the Men in Blue extend their winning streak over the Green Shirts in ICC ODI World Cups. Next up is Bangladesh and India would want nothing more than to continue that red-hot form going, especially with New Zealand now having reclaimed the top spot on the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 points table. Ahead of the match, bowling coach Paras Mhambrey dropped a major update on India's playing XI against Bangladesh, stating that there has been no discussion on rotating the team for this contest. That means India would have the same XI that beat Pakistan at the Narendra Modi Stadium on October 14. Shubman Gill, who made a recovery from dengue and featured in the IND vs PAK match, will retain his place as the opener and that means Ishan Kishan is likely to remain benched. The rest of the batting order would also remain the same unless there's any last-minute change that is made. India at ICC Cricket World Cup 2023: Get Indian Cricket Team’s Upcoming Matches Schedule, Results and Latest CWC Points Table Position on Team Standings.

The focus would however be on how the bowling attack might shape up to be. As per Mhambrey's comments, India would likely keep this unchanged as well and that means Ravichandran Ashwin and Mohammed Shami would once again miss out with Shardul Thakur getting the nod. The KKR star would come in handy with his batting as well at the MCA Stadium, where the pitch would suit batters. But India might be tempted to have Shami back in the XI which would make the bowling more lethal. Hardik Pandya's bowling and picking wickets is a big positive for Rohit Sharma and his men as well.

India Likely Playing XI vs Bangladesh: Rohit Sharma (C), Shubman Gill, Virat Kohli, Shreyas Iyer, KL Rahul (WK), Hardik Pandya, Ravindra Jadeja, Shardul Thakur, Jasprit Bumrah, Kuldeep Yadav, Mohammed Siraj.
