Rohit Sharma might have scored a double ton during a crisis and became the Man of the Moment for bringing up his double ton, but ahead of the Tea session, it was pacer Umesh Yadav who shifted gears slamming five sixes from nine balls at the JSCA Cricket Stadium during IND vs SA, 3rd Test Day 2. Yadav scored 31 runs and further boosted India’s position in the Test match as India inched closer to the score of 500 runs. It was in 2012-13, that Sachin Tendulkar started off against Nathan Lyon with a couple of sixes. The video of Umesh’a tall sixes went viral on social media. Earlier it was Ravindra Jadeja who brought up his 13th half-century from 119 balls. After the departure of Rohit Sharma on 212, Wriddiman Saha and Ravindra Jadeja brought up 47 runs jointly to the score.

The Indian pacer batted at a strike rate of 310.0. Mohammed Shami also joined the party hitting one six. But as India inched closer to the score of 500 runs, Virat Kohli and men declared the innings on the total of 497/5. Rohit Sharma, Ajinkya Rahane, Ravindra Jadeja and of course Umesh Yadav were the top highlights for the day. Sharma got out on 212 bringing up his maiden ton, whereas Ajinkya Rahane got out on 117 runs. Ravindra Jadeja made way to the pavilion with a fifty and then fireworks from Umesh Yadav lit up the JSCA Stadium a week ahead of Diwali.
