India Cricket Team Reportedly Donates Rs 1.26 Crore to Kerala Flood Victims

Over 400 people have been reported dead and many have lost their homes. In these difficult times, celebrities are coming ahead to do their bit. Even Team India expressed their solidarity towards the Kerala flood victims and dedicated their victory to them. Virat Kohli during the post-match ceremony said, “We as a team want to dedicate this victory to the flood victims back home in Kerala." The team not only dedicated their victory to the tragedy hit state but also reportedly donated Rs 1.26 crore to Kerala Flood Victims.
Celebrities like Shahid Afridi, Shoaib Malik, Sanju Samson, Irfan and Yusuf Pathan have shown their support to the flood victims. Rajasthan Royals’ Sanju Samson donated RS 15 lakh. Whereas Irfan and Yusuf Pathan sent out essential commodities which were sent to volunteers in Kerala for distribution.
Talking about the third test match at Nottingham, the team won the match and are now 2-1 in the Pataudi Test Series 2018. Captain Virat Kohli was made the Player of the Match for scoring 200 runs in the game. After the match, the Indian skipper went on to slammed the critics and said, “We were down 0-2 in the series and a lot of people have stopped believing in us. But we believed in ourselves and that is why it is 1-2 now after 0-2. All that matter was what we thought inside the change room. Anything on the outside did not really matter. We believe we can win the series. The victory was much-needed in the context of this series. We have been clinical in all departments and it is a victory for the entire dressing room. A complete Test win for us."
