Afghanistan A have beaten India A by 20 runs to enter the ACC Men's T20 Emerging Teams Asia Cup 2024 final! No one would have expected this to happen but Afghanistan A have pulled off a massive result, one that would give them a lot of confidence heading into the final! Sediqullah Atal and Zubaid Akbari smashed half-centuries while Karim Janat struck some powerful blows to take the team to a strong total. In response, India A lost wickets at regular intervals but Ramandeep Singh kept the fight alive with a solid half-century. In the end, it was too much for him to get as they crashed out after a good run in the group stage! What a day it has been for Asian cricket, with the two powerhouses-India and Pakistan, teams which were tipped to make the final, being eliminated. A big result for Afghanistan cricket and it will surely be remembered for a very long time to come.

Afghanistan have posted a massive 206/4 on the board. This is a big score and is the highest of the tournament so far. The Afghanistan A batters attacked right from the outset and capitalised on anything loose. Zubaid Akbari and Sediqullah Atal scored 64 and 83 respectively while Karim Janat smashed 41 runs off just 20 balls to help Afghanistan A post a big total on the board. For India A, Rasikh Salam took three wickets and was the best of them all.
