India Women are all set to start their ICC T20 World Cup 2024 campaign against New Zealand Women on Friday, October 4. The first of the two Warm-up games will be played at the ICC Academy Ground No 2, Dubai against West Indies Women. India Women are not coming out of much success as they lost the recent Asia Cup T20 final against Sri Lanka despite being outright favourites. It has been a massive blow for the Harmanpreet Kaur-led side that they couldn't defend the Asia Cup title in conditions familiar to them. Captain Harmanpreet Kaur to feature in the middle order alongside Jemimah Rodrigues, Dayalan Hemalatha, Richa Ghosh and Deepti Sharma. The bowling is to be taken care by Renuka Singh, Pooja Vastrakar, Radha Yadav and Shreyanka Patil. West Indies has recently developed into a very strong side with Hayley Matthews leading charge. It will be a tough challenge for India and give them areas to improve on.
