As India team gear up for the third ODI against West Indies at Trinidad, Rohit Sharma is on the verge of surpassing a former Indian cricketer in total number of ODI runs. Sharma could only score 18 runs in the first ODI. He was dismissed by Roston Chase. However, Sharma was spectacular in the 2nd T20 against West Indies in which he hit 67 runs. Sharma is in great form since World Cup 2019 and it is expected that he may come with a great knock anytime soon. If the right-handed batsman is able to score 26 runs in the 3rd ODI, he will leapfrog Yuvraj in the list of cricketers with most ODI runs. India defeated West Indies in the 2nd ODI by 59 runs. Virat Kohli hit a century to take India to 279-7 batting first. Shreyas Iyer also played a marvellous knock of 71 runs. West Indies were given a DLS updated target of 270 runs in 46 overs but the hosts were bowled out at the score of 210 runs. The first ODI was washed out due to rain.
