West Indies are set to chase the massive 289-run target after Indian team scored 287-8 while batting first. The match at MA Chidambaram stadium in Chennai saw India going close to 300-run mark while batting first. After India’s top order was crushed at just 80-3 in 18.1 overs, Rishabh Pant and Shreyas Iyer gave stunning support to Indian batting.

West Indies are set to chase the massive 288-run target after Indian team scored 287-8 while batting first. The match at MA Chidambaram stadium in Chennai saw India going close to 300-run mark while batting first. After India’s top order was crushed at just 80-3 in 18.1 overs, Rishabh Pant (71) and Shreyas Iyer (70) gave stunning support to Indian batting with individual fifties. While Pant smashed 71 runs, Shreyas Iyer accounted for 70-run knock. Kedar Jadhav played a good cameo later hitting 40 runs off 35 balls. West Indies bowlers were able to crush India's top order, however, the middle and lower-middle order of Indian team played well to reach 288-8 at the end of 50 overs.  India Vs West Indies, Live Cricket Score 1st ODI Match. 

Sharma gave a slow but good start to Indian batting smashing 36 runs off 56 balls. His innings witnessed him hitting 6 fours. However, he lost his wicket to Alzarri Joseph. Sheldon Cottrell, Keemo Paul and Alzarri Joseph took 2 wickets each while West Indies skipper Kieron Pollard accounted for 1 wicket. Ravindra Jadeja became a victim of a run-out. A goof-up with Kedar Jadhav while running between the wickets observed him going back to the pavilion. He could only score 21 runs off 21 balls.

Earlier, Kieron Pollard won the toss and elected to bowl. India vs West Indies series 2019 consists of three ODI matches. The 2nd ODI will be played on December 18 at Dr. Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium in Visakhapatnam while the final ODI will be played at Barabati Stadium, Cuttack on December 22 (Sunday).
