South Africa have bowled well and will aim to continue that in the final session of the day and possibly bowl India out. Meanwhile, Rishabh Pant and Ravi Ashwin have stitched a decent partnership and have a huge job on their hands to lead India out of a delicate situation.
Tea! Another exciting session comes to an end as South Africa will be the happier of the two sides having dismissed skipper KL Rahul and Hanuma Vihari. India added 93 runs to the score and will hope Rishabh Pant and Ravi Ashwin can add to that in the final couple of hours.

KLĀ Rahul and Hanuma Vihari have steadied the Indian innings with a solid partnership and now the duo will be aiming to capitalize on this start. Meanwhile, South African bowlers are still performing well and troubling the batters.
Hanuma Vihari has been dropped by Temba Bavuma at point! What a wicket it could have been for Lungi Ngidi and India would have been under more pressure. Vihari tried to go on the backfoot and cut it and Bavuma misses an absolutely easy catch.
India have been jolted twice before lunch as Duanne Olivier has put South Africa in control here. However, the visitors would be happy to have stand-in skipper KL Rahul still at the crease and it is on him and Vihari to steer the side to a good score.Ā
South Africa have beautifully tilted the session in their favour with two late wickets. Cheteshwar Pujara and Ajinkya Rahane--both of whom were under pressure to perform, have fallen to consecutive deliveries to Duanne Olivier, which has undone the good start that stand-in captain KL Rahul and Mayank Agarwal provided. Dean Elgar would be happy about his side's performance while India would needĀ Hanuma Vihari to stick around with Rahul for a while now.Ā
OUT!Ā Another one falls and Ajinkya Rahane, who comes in at four, is the man to depart. Olivier is on fire here as he gets his 50th Test wicket. Rahane unnecessarily fishes outside the off-stump as third-slip takes a good catch. All of a sudden, India are reeling at 49/3 here. South Africa on top clearly.
OUT! A failure for Cheteshwar Pujara again and Duanne Olivier marks his return to the South Africa Test side with a wicket. The ball had a steep bounce and Pujara ended up handing a catch to Temba Bavuma at gully. India are two down now.
With a series win in sight, India would be heading to Johannesburg, a venue which has favoured them historically, to take on South Africa in the second Test of the three-match series on January 3. The match would be played at the Wanderers Stadium and is set to start from 1:30 pm onwards. India won the first match in Centurion comprehensively by 113 runs and would aim to repeat a similar sort of dominant performance in Johannesburg as well. The pace bowling attack of the Indian team has been one of the most impressive units in international cricket in the past year and they showed what they are capable of, bowling out South Africa twice under 200. India would fret a little over the form of Ajinkya Rahane and Cheteshwar Pujara, both of whom have been in poor form for a while now and need to score some big runs to ease the pressure. Captain Kohli as well, needs to be careful while playing deliveries outside the off-stump, something that, time and again, has led to his dismissal.
South Africa on the other hand, would want the team's batting to revolve aroud skipper Dean Elgar, who looks to be in decent form. Elgar is perhaps one of the most experienced batters in the side and he would be keen on having the others support him in their quest to level the series. It would also be interesting to see who they pick to replace Quinton de Kock, who retired from Test cricket after the defeat in Centurion.
India would nonetheless be favourites to secure another win while South Africa would eye a comeback.
