IND vs SA 2nd Test 2019: R Ashwin Shines As India Bundle-Out South Africa for 275 at Stumps on Day 3

India continued their domination over South Africa on the third day of the 2nd Test. After the magnificent batting display, the hosts shined with the ball too and the visitors were bundled out for 275 in the first innings. Ravichandran Ashwin was the standout performer for India as the spinner scalped four wickets. Apart from Ashwin, Umesh Yadav took three wickets while Mohammed Shami and Ravindra Jadeja took one apiece. However, Keshav Maharaj and Vernon Philander had different ideas and they put up a great fight back. Maharaj went on to register his maiden half-century before falling prey to Ashwin. Philander, on the other hand, remained unbeaten on 44. Faf du Plessis and Co are trailing by 326 runs in the first innings.  Stumps was called after the fall of the last wicket and Virat Kohli will decide tomorrow that Whether, they will impose a follow on or will decide to bat again.

Earlier in the match, Virat Kohli notched up his seventh double-ton and India mustered 601 runs in the first innings. Mayank Agarwal also scored his second century of the series and laid a great foundation. After a poor outing with the ball, South Africa failed with the bat too and were rattled by the Indian pacers. The Virat Kohli led side have already won the first match which means a victory in the ongoing clash will seal the deal for the hosts. A lot will be in the stakes on the fourth day as India will look to wrap-up the Proteas quickly while South Africa will eye a comeback.
