The bitterness between the two Delhi-born Indian cricketers first came to light when the pair got involved in a verbal spat during the 2013 edition of IPL. Virat Kohli and Gautam Gambhir also made some great match-winning partnerships which also includes the partnership in the 2011 ICC Cricket World Cup Final but later things didn't go well between the two.

Virat Kohli is often been questioned for his captaincy tactics by several cricket fans and Pundits round the world. The no. 1 ranked ODI batsman led the team to the semi-final of 2019 Cricket World Cup but again got criticized for dropping in-form Mohammed Shami. However, The Men in Blue had a great run in the showpiece tournament and will want to lift the title for the third time.
