IND vs NED, T20 World Cup 2022, Super 12 Highlights: Clinical India Beat Netherlands by 56 Runs, Continue Winning Run

A dominant performance by the Men in Blue saw them thrash the Netherlands by 56 runs to register their second win of the tournament. Powered by half-centuries from Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma and Suryakumar Yadav, India ended up with a score of 179/2 on the board. The total was a steep one for the Netherlands, who struggled in their run chase, losing wickets at regular intervals. Eventually, they were 56 runs short as India cruised to their second win and moved to the top of the points table. Next up, South Africa! 

And it is another win for India! A clinical bowling effort from the Indian bowling attack has earned them a 56-run win against the Netherlands in their second match of the T20 World Cup 2022. India are on a roll, with their second consecutive win! 

OUT! Arshdeep Singh has two wickets! First one with a classic fast bowler's dismissal as he bowled a bouncer, which was edged behind to Dinesh Karthik by Logan van de Beek. Tim Pringle has now decided to take the attack Ravichandran Ashwin as he dances down the track to hit a huge six. Netherlands still have an uphill task ahead as they need to score at around 20 per over to win the match. Five more overs remain.

India are slowly strengthening their grip on this game with the spinners not letting the batters free their arms. India would hope that this continues for the next few overs. Axar Patel, who has bowled out his quota, has had a great day with figures of 2/18 in his four overs. 

OUT! Just when Netherlands were building a steady partnership, Axar Patel has struck and he has dismissed Bas de Leede. India have their third wicket and are on top here. India have kept things in control at the end of the powerplay, dismissing both openers. The Dutchmen would need a partnership from here on to stay in the game, or else things might turn too difficult, too quickly.

Max O'Dowd is playing some fine shots here. Netherlands have lost an early wicket but O'Dowd is keeping them in the contest with his attacking batting. The contest between him and the Indian bowling is turning out to be interesting. 

OUT! Bhuvneshwar Kumar has gotten rid of Vikramjit Singh, who was looking out of sorts in his nine-ball stay. Singh missed the ball as it hit the stumps, giving India their first wicket. What a way to start the second innings! Bhuvneshwar Kumar has bowled a maiden over to Vikramjit Singh, who has not found the gap despite hitting some good shots. 

A six to finish off proceedings for India by Suryakumar Yadav, who scored a fifty and took India to a decent total. He and Virat Kohli have given India a commendable total in this match against Netherlands, who bowled very well in the starting phases of the match. Kohli stablised the innings once again and his 95-run stand with SKY has helped India finish on a high. The bowlers would now feel confident to defend this. 

FIFTY! Virat Kohli has hit a second consecutive fifty and it just shows the good form he is in! The former India captain has played some good shots and has held on end tight. He is looking seriously good now and will aim to India to a good total here. 

Suryakumar Yadav is starting to look dangerous at the moment and India will eye a big finish. After some classy shots on the off-side by SKY, Virat Kohli hit one on the leg-side which ended up to the fence. He would look to break free and give India a good finish. 

Suryakumar Yadav is doing his thing here! The right-hander, who is in the form of his life, has started freeing his arms and has played some good shots. With him in the middle, India can hope to get something around 170-180 from here on. 

OUT! Netherlands have finally got their man and it is the wicket of Rohit Sharma. The Indian captain was looking good and had hit a fifty but perished soon, failing to convert it to a big score. FIFTY! The Indian captain is looking in good touch here and has scored a half-century. After being given a reprieve earlier on, he has made use of the opportunity to hit some good shots on both sides of the wicket.
