Jos Buttler had said that he does not want an India vs Pakistan final. And boy did he keep his word. England made a mockery of the Indian bowling and chased down 170 in just 16 overs, to power their way to the final, where they will meet Pakistan. For India, it is another disappointment, that has come their way in an ICC tournament. Finishing the Super 12 stage as group toppers, India were completely outplayed today by England, who were the better side in all aspects of the game. Rohit Sharma had a nightmarish end to his first ICC tournament as India captain. Lots to ponder from here on for India as England would be confident and upbeat about their chances, going into the summit clash in Melbourne this Sunday!

10 Nov, 16:35 (IST)

What a win this is! Jos Buttler and Alex Hales have absolutely pummelled India in this semifinal with a record partnership as England book their tickets to Melbourne in some style! Defending 169, India needed early wickets but England had other plans in mind as the Hales-Buttler duo took England over the line with four overs left. A totally one-sided chase.

10 Nov, 16:25 (IST)

Things continue to get easier for England and tougher to take, for the Indian fans. After playing second fiddle to Alex Hales, Jos Buttler has now taken on charge. Buttler got dropped as well by Suryakumar Yadav. Nothing is going right for India.

10 Nov, 16:19 (IST)

FIFTY! Jos Buttler joins the party! The England openers are milking the Indian bowlers here and after a disappointing exit last year, they are looking set to enter the final, their first since 2016. At the halfway stage, India might have had a fighting chance but England have made a mockery of this total.

10 Nov, 16:15 (IST)

England are doing it easy now with no Indian bowler seemingly producing any kind of threat. The opening partnership is enough for England to get a win, with Alex Hales justifying his comeback, in a sensational manner. India are losing this and there would be a lot of questions raised on their batting approach.

10 Nov, 16:12 (IST)

England are batting their way to a famous win here and India cannot do much here. They need to find some inspiration here or else, it is over.

10 Nov, 16:07 (IST)

The runs keep flowing from the England openers Jos Buttler and Alex Hales as they seemed to have taken the game away from India at this point. Rohit Sharma and his men need a miracle to win this game now.

10 Nov, 16:05 (IST)

The pressure keeps increasing on India and it is all getting intensified with a fielding error by Mohammed Shami. India now need a miracle to win this contest or else, a T20 World Cup semifinal disappointment is on the cards.

10 Nov, 15:53 (IST)

FIFTY! Alex Hales has played sensationally well for a fifty here! He has taken the attack to India and has given England a very good chance to finish this game off very early. India on the other hand, are down and out and need wickets to pose any sort of challenge.

10 Nov, 15:49 (IST)

Ravichandran Ashwin was brought into the attack and what seemed to be a good over, was converted into a poor one with Alex Hales sweeping the spinner for a six. England are cruising here.

10 Nov, 15:44 (IST)

After Jos Buttler's onslaught in the first few overs, Alex Hales is turning it on for England now. He has outscored the England captain and this partnership is looking to take the game away from India. Rohit Sharma and India are worried and for the right reasons.

10 Nov, 15:41 (IST)

England continue their charge and no matter who the bowler is, the runs are flowing sweetly for Jos Buttler and Alex Hales. From India's point of view, they need to put some pressure here and the best way to do that is by getting a wicket.

10 Nov, 15:37 (IST)

Axar Patel is brought into the attack and that does not make a difference as England comfortably scored eight runs off the over. England are doing it easily now and India need a moment of brilliance to get back some momentum.

10 Nov, 15:34 (IST)

Another good over from England's perspective with 12 runs off it. India have not been able to trouble England's openers and if it continues this way, the outcome might get decided soon.

10 Nov, 15:29 (IST)

England continue their good start with skipper Jos Buttler looking in red hot form. India need early wickets to have a chance in this match. Whatever happens from here on, it is going to be a cracker.

10 Nov, 15:24 (IST)

Three boundaries in the over from the bat of skipper Jos Buttler. England are off to a good start in this run chase and India would need a wicket, preferably that of Buttler to start this innings on a high.

10 Nov, 15:09 (IST)

Hardik Pandya kept his best for when it mattered the most as he slammed a sensational 63 off just 33 balls to guide India to a good total here. India struggled for a major part of the innings and it looked they would hardly make it to 140 but Pandya turned it on with some powerful shots to take the Men in Blue to a competitive score. Virat Kohli too, scored a crucial fifty, his fourth of the competition to stabilise the innings.

10 Nov, 15:07 (IST)

OUT! What a way to finish the innings! Hardik Pandya, who was looking so good, has been dismissed hit wicket and India have managed to get a total above par here.

10 Nov, 15:05 (IST)

OUT! Rishabh Pant has sacrificed his wicket and has been run out. Chris Jordan bowls a yorker and Pant signals to Hardik Pandya for running at the striker's end. He has done a good job giving Pandya the strike! Rishabh Pant run out (Buttler/Jordan) 6(4)

10 Nov, 14:58 (IST)

FIFTY! Hardik Pandya is playing a gem of an innings here. He has provided the much-needed impetus to the Indian innings and kept his side in the hunt for a 160-run total with Rishabh Pant, who has struck a boundary as well, at the other end.
