Jos Buttler had said that he does not want an India vs Pakistan final. And boy did he keep his word. England made a mockery of the Indian bowling and chased down 170 in just 16 overs, to power their way to the final, where they will meet Pakistan. For India, it is another disappointment, that has come their way in an ICC tournament. Finishing the Super 12 stage as group toppers, India were completely outplayed today by England, who were the better side in all aspects of the game. Rohit Sharma had a nightmarish end to his first ICC tournament as India captain. Lots to ponder from here on for India as England would be confident and upbeat about their chances, going into the summit clash in Melbourne this Sunday! 

What a win this is! Jos Buttler and Alex Hales have absolutely pummelled India in this semifinal with a record partnership as England book their tickets to Melbourne in some style! Defending 169, India needed early wickets but England had other plans in mind as the Hales-Buttler duo took England over the line with four overs left. A totally one-sided chase. 

Things continue to get easier for England and tougher to take, for the Indian fans. After playing second fiddle to Alex Hales, Jos Buttler has now taken on charge. Buttler got dropped as well by Suryakumar Yadav. Nothing is going right for India.

At the halfway stage, India might have had a fighting chance but England have made a mockery of this total.

Ravichandran Ashwin was brought into the attack and what seemed to be a good over, was converted into a poor one with Alex Hales sweeping the spinner for a six. England are cruising here. 

After Jos Buttler's onslaught in the first few overs, Alex Hales is turning it on for England now. He has outscored the England captain and this partnership is looking to take the game away from India. Rohit Sharma and India are worried and for the right reasons. 

England continue their charge and no matter who the bowler is, the runs are flowing sweetly for Jos Buttler and Alex Hales. From India's point of view, they need to put some pressure here and the best way to do that is by getting a wicket.

India struggled for a major part of the innings and it looked they would hardly make it to 140 but Pandya turned it on with some powerful shots to take the Men in Blue to a competitive score. Virat Kohli too, scored a crucial fifty, his fourth of the competition to stabilise the innings.
