The penultimate Test between India and England is nicely poised. India secured a slender first innings lead of 27 runs and now England will look to set a daunting target for the visitors. The day three promises to be full of action. India, on the other hand, will be hoping that the bowlers once again put up a good show and restrict England under 250. On day two, India were driven by Cheteshwar Pujara’s unbeaten 132 as India posted 273 in response to England’s 246 in the first innings. Pujara remained unbeaten and helped India take the lead. At one stage, India were 195 for eight and looked like the visitors might concede the lead. England will now resume day three’s play from six for none and will be hoping for a solid opening partnership from Alastair Cook and Keaton Jennings. Apart from Sam Curran and Moeen Ali, rest of the England batsmen struggled in the first innings against the Indian pacers. It will be interesting to see how the home side responds with the bat this time around.
