It is day three of India vs England 1st Test. The game is nicely poised with England leading by 22 runs in their second innings. The day two of the Edgbaston was largely dominated by Virat Kohli’s century. It was his maiden Test ton in India and 22nd overall. The Indian captain scored 149 as the visitors managed to post 274 in response to England 287. On day three, England will be looking to add to their tally and set India a challenging target. England will resume the day’s play on nine for the loss of Alastair Cook’s wicket. The former captain was dismissed late on day two. Captain Joe Root will join Keaton Jennings as England look to dish out a better batting performance in their second innings. The home side were able to just secure a 13-run lead in the first innings.

India, on the other hand, will be hoping to restrict England to a paltry total. Ravi Ashwin accounted for Cook’s wicket second time in this match and the spinner will now be looking to trouble the other English batsmen.
