Three wickets, Murali Vijay, KL Rahul and Shikhar Dhawan, in no time, were quite a spectacle. The three quick wickets saw India suffer a mini-collapse.

KL perishes playing a wild shot on only the second shot of his inning. The ball finds an inside edge that rattles the stumps. Curran is ecstatic and so is the England team. Rahul is BOWLED! as India lose their second wicket.

Both James Anderson and Stuart Broad bowled exceptionally well; however, Dhawan and Vijay are proving too good for the England team.
England lost a REVIEW! as Murali Vijay survived an LBW appeal. Root was quick to ask for a review; however, Anderson seemed quite reluctant. A wasted review there, as the ball was clearly sliding down the leg side.
The openers have built a solid platform here, adding 49 runs in only 11 overs. India would be hoping to see both the batsmen return unbeaten at the lunchtime.

India vs England Test series has begun and the action on Day 1 of the Test match was a treat for an Indian fan. The Indian team, under the leadership of Virat Kohli, made a remarkable comeback later in the day, as the England team finished on 285/9 at the end of Day 1.
The pick of the bowlers was, Ravichandran Ashwin, who was under an immense pressure to deliver in foreign conditions. His bowling figures at the end of the first day were 25-7-60-4. His four scalps included crucial wickets of Alastair Cook, Ben Stokes, and Jos Buttler – all at crucial junctures in the match.
The fast bowlers, Ishant Sharma, Umesh Yadav, and Mohammad Shami bowled excellent, but in patches. However, it was Shami who seemed to be the most lethal amongst the three. As for England, Joe Root was the pick of their batsmen as he was, unfortunately, run-out on 80, trying to take a non-existent second run, off skipper Kohli’s throw. Jonny Bairstow scored quick 70 runs before he was cleared up by Umesh Yadav. Keaton Jennings had a good start but failed to convert it into a big score.
Come Thursday, it will be an exciting second day in the match, as India would be hoping to pick up the last wicket at the earliest and put up a big total in their first innings.
