England defeated India by 60 runs in the penultimate Test to seals the five-match series 3-1. Chasing a target of 245 runs, India were bundled out for just 184 runs. Moeen Ali, who picked five wickets in the first innings, was once again wrecker-in-chief as he returned figures of 4/57 in the second innings. He struck at crucial times to put England ahead. `The day began with England resuming on an overnight score 260 for eight. The home side were soon then dismissed for 271 and set India a target of 245 runs. The hosts then got off to a great start as India lost top three batsmen for just 22 runs on the board. Ind vs Eng 4th Test Day 4- As it Happened.

Stuart Broad first bowled KL Rahul and then James Anderson dismissed Cheteshwar Pujara and Shikhar Dhawan in quick succession to put India in trouble. After losing the top three cheaply, Indian captain Kohli and Ajinkya Rahane then bailed their side out of the trouble with a century stand.

The duo added 101 runs for the fourth wicket as India pulled back things. At that point in time, India were in control. India, however, lost the wickets of Kohli and Hardik Pandya quickly and that helped England bounce back.

The visitors then lost wickets at regular intervals including that of well-set Rahane. It was Moeen who damaged the Indian chase with regular strikes. The visitors were eventually bundled out for 184 runs.
