Team India finally started practising yesterday at Nottingham ahead of their third Test Match against England.
Team India finally started practising yesterday at Nottingham ahead of their third Test Match against England. The match will start tomorrow at 3.30 PM. Even today, team India hit the nets and sweated it out at the nets. Team India lost a couple of test matches one at Edgbaston and the other at Lord’s. India lost the first match by 31 runs and the other by an innings and 159 runs at the Lord’s stadium.
It was obvious for the team to hit the nets ahead of the third test in England. Vira Kohli’s official account shared a couple of pictures of the session on social media. “Great day at training today. Looking forward to the next game,” read the caption of the pictures.
Ahead of the third test, team India’s coach Ravi Shastri addressed the press and said, “Conditions have been tough, as you have seen right through the series, but that’s where character comes into play, and mental discipline comes into play.”
Shastri added, “The resolve, to know where your off-stump, to need to leave a lot of balls, to be prepared to look ugly and dirty, and show some grit. Just believe in yourself. You have been in this situation a couple of times before, and you have responded,” while talking about what the Indian batsmen would need to do to improve their performances. He also admitted selection error of selection Kuldeep Yadav in pace friendly pitches. ”In the hindsight, it was an error. Seeing the conditions we could have gone with an extra seamer that might have helped. However, you didn’t know how much it would rain or if the match would go in the final day or not,” he said.
