After rain washed out the first day of India vs England 2nd Test at Lord’s, the hosts enjoyed the proceedings on day two of the match. James Anderson emerged as the star of the day as he scalped five wickets. Indian batting failed to counter the swing and were bundled out for just 107 runs in their first innings. It all started on a positive note for England as Anderson picked Murali Vijay in the first over with a peach of a delivery. Few overs later, Anderson had another Indian opener KL Rahul to put the visitors in trouble. India were further dented when Cheteshwar Pujara was run out after an error by Virat Kohli. After Pujara’s dismissal, India were left reeling at 15 for three.
India then lost half the side when Chris Woakes removed Virat Kohli and Hardik Pandya in quick succession. The visitors then lost further wickets and were restricted to just 107 runs.
