Day 1 of the second test match between India and England was washed out due to rains. Even the toss had to be postponed due to continuous downpour. Since it rained a lot, it was quite obvious that at the team bowling first would have an advantage as the wicket would support the pacers. The Day 2 was quite apt for the play and England won the toss and elected to bowl. Needless to say, all eyes were on England’s pacer James Anderson who proved to be lethal for the Indians.
The day 2 of the second test match between India and England started on a sour note for the guests. Batting woes continued to haunt India in the second test too. India’s opener Murali Vijay departed on a duck by a brilliant delivery from James Anderson. The England pacer bowled a brilliant delivery which pointed towards fine leg but got pitched full. Murali Vijay was confused and was tempted to flick it. With an inward curve, the delivery came in and rattled the stumps. The opener faced only 5 balls and soon made way to the pavilion. Murali Vijay has had a terrible record overseas. Since January 2016, he has scored 134 runs in 10 innings with an average of 13.4. His scorecard read: 0,6,20,25,8,9,46,13,7 Check out the video below:

James Anderson stuck once again and this time it was KL Rahul who was victimised by the killer length bowled by the pacer. Rahul nicked it to the keeper Jonny Bairstow and made way to the pavilion on 8 off 14 balls. Check out the video below:

The two dismissals didn’t go down well with the Indian fans and they trolled both the players left, right and centre. Check out a few tweets below:
“Murali Vijay in overseas Tests in the last 3 years: 12 innings 217 runs Batting Average of 18 2 ducks, 0 centuries. No other opener (for a minimum of 10 inns away from home) has had a batting average worse than Vijay in this time-frame. Dire times. #ENGvIND,” read a tweet.

“Look at Murali Vijay's technique - not playing at home + seaming wicket + poor 1st test show + overcast - But we will play a subcontinent shot and try to whip it off our legs without moving our legs #INDvsENG,” wrote a netizen.
