India extended their supremacy in the longest format of the game by outplaying Bangladesh in the opening day of the 1st IND vs BAN Test. After bundling the visitors for 150 runs, the hosts have scored 86 runs for the loss of one wicket at stumps on Day 1. The Virat Kohli led side came good both in batting and bowling and look all set to clinch another victory at home. Earlier in the day, Mominul Haque won the toss and elected to bat first. However, the Bangladeshi batsmen failed to justify the decision and lost wickets at regular intervals. Mushfiqur Rahim (43) showed some resilience for the visitors and was the highest run-scorer of the side. India, however, have made a decent start to their innings and will eye to pile up a mammoth total on the second day. On the other hand, Abu Zayed and Mehidy Hasan Miraz will have the onus to rattle the Indian batsman in order to stay alive in the contest.
