The day 1 of the historic test match between India and Afghanistan was clearly dominated by the hosts. After winning the toss, Ajinkya Rahane opted to bat at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru. Little did the guests know that their bowling line up would be ripped apart by the Indian batsmen. Shikhar Dhawan was first one to get a 100 before lunch, followed by Murali Vijay and then a half-century from KL Rahul.

Shikhar Dhawan went on to become the first Indian to get a century before lunch on the day 1. This put the team in a commanding position and at the stumps, India was at 347 with the loss of 6 wickets. Let's see what happens on day 2. As of now, Hardik Pandya and R Ashwin are on the crease.
