The Indians had a great outing at the Saurashtra Cricket Association, Rajkot on the Day 1 of the first test match between India and West Indies. It wouldn’t be wrong to say that the hosts dominated the day and the batsmen put India in the driver’s seat. It was the 18-year old Prithvi Shaw who walked away with the limelight scoring his maiden ton on his debut. The Mumbai lad not only earned several praises for the way he batted after the departure of KL Rahul in the very first over, but also shattered quite too many records. India vs West Indies 2018 Schedule: Full Match Timetable With Dates, Timings, and Venue Details as Windies Set To Play 2 Tests, 5 ODIs and 3 T20Is.

Chesteshwar Pujara also scored 86 runs however, Ajinkya Rahane got out before scoring a half-century. As of now, we have Virat Kohli and Rishabh Pant who are currently batting on 72 and 17 runs respectively and both would want to put up a solid total for India on the board. The day 2 would be quite crucial for the two batsmen. There wouldn’t be far too many changes in the pitch as the game progresses but it would be interesting to see if Virat and Pant get their 100s.
