Archer was unaware about England’s playing XI and Iceland Cricket, known for witty tweets, made full use of the fast bowler's ignorance. England’s James Anderson was ruled out of the one-off Test against Ireland due to a right calf injury he suffered during a county match. Cricket Iceland then trolled the pacer who is likely to make Ashes debut. “Who is going to tell him? On a serious point, is this a sign of England having switched off? England dished out a dismal performance on day one of the Test match and were bundled out for just 85 runs. Ireland pacer Tim Murtagh scalped a five-wicket haul as he made things difficult for the home side.

In response, Ireland managed to score 207 runs and took a first-innings lead of 122 runs. Broad, Oily Stone, and Sam Curran picked three wickets each. England at the end of day two were batting on 303 for nine, effectively 181 as the Test match continues to be interesting.
