Jasprit Bumrah made way into the top 10 bowlers in ICC Test rankings for the first time after his swashbuckling five wicket-haul against West Indies in the first Test in Antigua. The right-arm pacer now holds 7th spot in ICC Test bowlers’ rankings. Ajinkya Rahane also gained one spot to become the 10th ranked batsman in ICC rankings.

Indian pacer Bumrah also became the first Asian bowler to bag five-wicket hauls in England, South Africa, Australia and West Indies in his first tour. He now has career-high 774 points in ICC rankings list. Bumrah took six wickets in the 1st Test against West Indies, which India won by 318 runs. The Mumbai Indians player is already top-ranked bowler in ODIs and T20s. Ajinkya Rahane, who hit his 10th century of Test, was awarded man of the match for his incredible twin knocks against West Indies. ICC shared the latest Test rankings on Instagram with a post. Pat Cummins is the top-ranked Test bowler and he gained career-high ranking points 908. Trent Boult, who completed 250 Test wickets in his career in the 2nd Test against Sri Lanka, jumped two ranks to become the 5th ranked bowler now. Ravindra Jadeja lost five spots to settle at 10th rank in the rankings.
Ben Stokes’ heroics against Australia made him 2nd ranked all-rounder with 411 rating points. Meanwhile, Virat Kohli remained on the top spot among Test batsmen followed by Steve Smith on the 2nd. Cheteshwar Pujara is the only other Indian batsman among the top ten on the 4th spot.
