The ICC T20 World Cup 2024 is one of the most-awaited competitions and fans would want that all contests are played fair and square without weather intervening in any of them. Several matches, including that of a blockbuster England vs Australia match had to be abandoned in the last edition of the T20 World Cup, which was held in Australia, due to rain. West Indies and USA are co-hosts of T20 World Cup 2024 and many across the globe would hope that the weather gods remain kind and there's no downpour during any of the matches. While group-stage matches can be washed out with both teams sharing points, the same cannot happen for knockout matches. So, will there be reserve days for the semifinals? ICC T20 World Cup 2024 Full Schedule, Free PDF Download Online: Get Fixtures, Time Table With Match Timings in IST and Venue Details of Men's Twenty20 Cricket WC.

According to a report in Cricbuzz, the ICC has not allocated a reserve day for the second semifinal, which is set to be played at the Providence Stadium in Guyana on June 27. Instead, the match, which starts at 10:30 am local time (8:30 pm IST) can be extended by another four hours so that there remains a possibility for the contest to finish on the same day. This is so because the organisers want to avoid a situation where the team that goes through ends up competing on consecutive days, keeping in mind that the final is slated to be held on June 29. There is a reserve day for the first semifinal, though, which will be held on June 26 in Trinidad. The match, which starts at 6 am IST (IST) and 8:30 pm local time can be shifted to June 27 in case of rain playing spoilsport in Trinidad. The same cannot happen for the second semifinal as that would mean that the team which qualifies for the final will have to play, travel and play again on consecutive days. India T20 World Cup 2024 Full Schedule, Free PDF Download Online.

If rain does not subside in the second semifinal, the side which finished higher in the Super Eight stage will make it to the final. The ICC T20 World Cup 2024 is not very far away, and already, the excitement levels are sky-high as fans await their favourite stars in action in one of the most-anticipated competitions. Starting from June 2, the tournament will feature 20 teams who will take on each other in a bid to be crowned champions in the shortest formats of the game.
