The Kiwi opener tried to pull a short delivery from Jofra Archer but only managed to glove it behind where Buttler dived to his left and took an unbelievable catch. The catch by Buttler left everyone by shock as it was very quick delivery and the keeper hardly had any time to react but as they say 'Cricket is a game of uncertainties'. Buttler, who is known for his brutal hitting was dismissed for just 11 in the first innings but the Kiwi didn't realise that he can hurt them behind the stumps as well.

The catch was so good that ICC posted it on twitter asking "Was that the best catch of #CWC19 so far?"
New Zealand already got a blow when opener Henry Nicholas was dismissed in the first over and Buttler's magnificent catch made this worse for the Kiwis. Earlier In the match, England posted a challenging total of 305-8. Led by century from Jonny Bairstow. In reply, New Zealand had a poor start courtesy some great fast bowling and also Buttler's catch.
Buttler's teammate Ben Stokes also grabbed a lot of eyes by taking a stunner in the opening encounter of the world cup. He took a fantastic one-handed catch at mid-wicket to dismiss Andile Phehlukwayo. Recently, India's Ravindra Jadeja also grabbed a lot of limelight because of his spectacular ground fielding.
