The ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 league stage is slowly coming to an end and now, every team are aiming to be at nothing but their very best to keep their semifinal dream alive. India and South Africa are the only two teams who have confirmed spots in the semifinals.

The semifinal line-ups in ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 have been set and fans are in for some cracking contests in the two knockout matches leading up to the final on November 19. India meet New Zealand in a repeat of the 2019 World Cup semifinal where the Black Caps emerged victorious. India face New Zealand at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on November 15. The second semifinal will see South Africa and Australia take on each other on November 16 at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata. India, for the record, was the first team to qualify for the semifinals and later on, also secured the top spot on the ICC World Cup 2023 points table. New Zealand got themselves in a spot of bother after four losses in a trot but picked themselves up and edged past Pakistan and Afghanistan into the top four. After a long race for the top four between Pakistan and New Zealand, it is New Zealand who edges them again to make their place in the semifinal. India will have a re-match against New Zealand in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 semifinal at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. Pakistan, despite their best attempt, failed to make it in the end.

India had finished as the table toppers in the 2019 World Cup as well. The Men in Blue had 15 points from nine matches with Australia (14 points) and England (12 points) at two and three respectively. New Zealand had sneaked in as the fourth-placed team with 11 points, pipping Pakistan on Net Run Rate.
