Chris Gayle and Yuvraj Singh are both geared to bring the sixes storm to Canada. Both the left-handed batsmen will be participating in the Global T20 Canada tournament scheduled to start from July 25. Yuvraj, who recently announced his retirement from international cricket, was cleared by BCCI to play in the T20 Canada Blast. While Yuvraj had announced his retirement from international cricket in the month of May, Gayle, who was supposed to call it quits after the Cricket World Cup 2019, took a U-turn on his retirement. The big West Indies opener had stated that he will retire after playing the India Test series but later announced that he will carry on as long as possible. Yuvi had also tagged Gayle in his tweet which prompted a reply from the Universe Boss. “I am ready” replied Gayle to Yuvraj’s “Let’s hit some sixes” tweet. Both Gayle and Yuvraj will, however, be in opposing teams when the GT20 Canada kicks-off on July 25.

Many other cricketing superstars, besides Yuvraj and Gayle, will be taking part in the Canada T20 tournament. New Zealand skipper and Player of the Tournament in CWC 2019 Kane Williamson, George Bailey, Sunil Narine, Shakib Al Hasan, Faf du Plessis and Chris Lynn will be taking part in the T20 tournament in Canada.

Yuvraj will play for Toronto Nationals in GT20 Canada, while Gayle will turn up for Vancouver Knights. Williamson will represent Edmonton Royals. Brampton Wolves, Montreal Tigers and Winnipeg Hawks are the other teams in GT20 Canada.
