As reported by ESPNCricinfo, SRH are eying to retain Travis Head and Nitish Kumar Reddy, with the retention deadline nearing soon (October 31). SRH management are willing to offer Australia's Cummins INR 18 Crore, South Africa's Klaasen INR 23 Crore, and India's Abhishek INR 14 Crore as their retention price. 

Cummins' leadership impressed one-and-all during IPL 2024, where the Australian Test and ODI captain took the franchise into the final, losing to winner Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR).

On the other hand, Klaasen glued the SRH batting together in the middle order and ensured that their side never went into a ditch, scoring 479 runs behind Abhishek(484) and Head (567).

Head led the Hyderabad batting from the front, to end up the franchise' leading run-getter, while Nitish announced himself on the big stage, slamming 303 runs and claiming three wickets.

Every franchise can retain a total of 6 players from their IPL 2024 squad, and exercise either a Right to Match (RTM) card or retention clause to keep the player. Out of the six retained players, five have to be capped (Indian or foreign), and one uncapped (minimum).
