Shakib Al Hasan’s suspension for two years by the ICC ahead of the Bangladesh tour to India sent a wave of shock amongst the fans. Now Shakib Al Hasan’s teammate Mashrafe Mortaza has taken to social media to share an inspirational message for the Bangladeshi all-rounder. Just like Hasan’s fans, Mashrafe too was heartbroken with the news of the all-rounder’s ban. The 36-year-old shared a picture of himself with Shakib Al Hasan on social media and said that he is very sure that Shakib Al Hasan will lead the Bangladeshi team during the World Cup 2023. Mortaza posted a message in Bengali which read, “After fighting together for 13 years, I will be sleepless for a few nights for sure after our warrior’s suspension. But after a few days, I will be able to sleep well, thinking that under his leadership itself, we will play the 2023 World Cup final. Because the name is Shakib Al Hasan.” The pacer looked quite shattered in his Facebook post.

Mashrafe Bin Mortaza Post

A while ago, we told you that many of his conversations with the bookie on WhatsApp had been leaked. They were exchanged between Shakib and Aggarwal during the tri-series between Bangladesh, Zimbabwe and Sri Lanka. The conversations were about Aggarwal requesting him to leak the inside information of the team. Shakib failed to report this and as a result, was slapped with a ban.
