Picking up players for the best XI can be a tough job. The choices made by a cricket expert or a player can often be a subject of debate. Now, as India is all set to take on Bangladesh in the crucial finals of the Asia Cup 2018, cricket expert Harsha Bhogle picked his best XI of the tournament. His best XI team comprises six Indians, a couple of players from Bangladesh and Afghanistan each and one player from Pakistan. What came as a surprise was MS Dhoni was axed from his team. Bhogle went on to choose the opening pair Shikhar Dhawan and Rohit Sharma who have been blazing guns. On one hand, where Dhawan is the top run-getter of the tournament, Rohit too has had a great run in the tournament. The number three spot was given to Ambati Rayudu because Virat Kohli has been rested for the tournament. Mushfiqur Rahim was given the fourth spot and Mohammad Nabi on number five. While explaining the exclusion of MS Dhoni, Harsha said that he has hasn’t had too much of a role play as the other batsmen have been doing well. "You at a historical team of all the players in this and the first name that goes into this is MS Dhoni. But in this tournament, he hasn't had a lot to do simply because India's batting has been so good," he explained.
